You got this virus, live with your vices. Take all your vitamins worth.
Every second spent, Every last red cent til you can't make rent.
Sing these words into the ground, til they've got no meaning left.
Sins of the father, visited upon the head of the son 10 FOLD!
Matters of the heart, stories of the soul, open up your mouth & just let it go. Inside your head you'll still be screaming.
Defend that which we hate. Until the bitter end, until the bloody bitter end.

Raised by the television, brought up by the media.
Found myself a new space to practice all my narcissism.
I'll give you voyeuristic thrills. Show you all how me & my friends want to be seen.
This is my life-my poetry-future plans for all to see!
Eyesight's getting blurry, stomach full of knots.
The real world is scary, only real thing we've got.
If you finally notice me-I'll be out here in the real world.
Dead in this seat-self centered scenes, preaching of change.
the more they change, the more they stay the same.

This Pop-Tart makes my stomach hurt.
Sticky strawberry in the morning.
Sweet as television, let there be light!
right to the 700 club...
ORDER NOW-the voice of god. Dvd bibles changing lives.
Now I hear the voice of god telling me to TURN-IT-OFF-RIGHT-NOW!

We are just ghosts in this place-backtracking steps we retrace.
500 forward for every one back. Ill-recollections burnt up & painted black.
But I woke up alone today.
It's raining, it's pouring, the pain of loss will get boring.
There's so much to look forward to. Mornings spent in bed, recoil from my bad breath as I tell you you're beautiful..
But I woke up alone today.
Takin' it on the chin helps to keep up your chin. Just remember to learn from this.
Another beautiful child of the city sits across on the bus from me: bobbing her head along to the same beat.
Like we're listening to the same song, grew up on the same old dirty street. Staring out the window of the bus. 60 more tired faces starin' back at us...
